Jackie Mulligan kindly organised, with the help of Oasis Divers, our "Whale Watching" trip. We were taken out into the middle of the sea where we spent days (about an hour actually) looking for signs of the Hump Back Whales. At this time of year the Whales are looking after there new born calves. These calves drink 60 gallons of milk a day (which is almost as much as the amount of alcohol Roger & I drank on the Paddy's Day Party) and in their first month grow on average 1 inch (25mm) an hour. You can find out more information on these and other whales on the followning web site http://www.whalesfilm.com/hump.htm Have a look at a few of my pictures, the whales are a bit camera
shy but I did manage to snap a couple of good shots. |
